This is why, differently to the other bells, its cord extended outside the tower to a window of the bell-ringer\u2019s house from where the main altar could be seen.<\/p>\n<p><u>Smelting year<\/u>: 1609 probably also by Juan de Villanueva.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Juana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Measurements<\/u>: 1.30 m diameter by 1.25 m height in the vessel.<\/p>\n<p><u>Weight<\/u>: approximately, 833 Kg.<\/p>\n<p><u>Name<\/u>: from the invocation to Saint John the Baptist which it features in an engraving in Latin: \u201cSaint John the Baptist, pray for us\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><u>Smelting year<\/u>: 1792 by Jos\u00e9 Marcout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Silver<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Measurements<\/u>: 0.80 m diameter by 0.80 m height in the vessel.<\/p>\n<p><u>Weight<\/u>: approximately, 319 Kg.<\/p>\n<p><u>Name<\/u>: surely due to its whiter original colour.<\/p>\n<p><u>Use<\/u>: it was used, along with the Infants\u2019 bell (P\u00e1rvulos) when a child died before the use of reason.<\/p>\n<p><u>Smelting year<\/u>: 1792 by Jos\u00e9 Marcout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Measurements<\/u>: 1.50 m diameter by 1.30 m height in the vessel.<\/p>\n<p><u>Weight<\/u>: approximately, 1,331 Kg.<\/p>\n<p><u>Name<\/u>: due to its daily use.<\/p>\n<p><u>Use<\/u>: it was used to call to prayers on working days, Sundays and minor festivities.<\/p>\n<p><u>Smelting year<\/u>: 1802 by Bernardo de Mendoza based on another bell that cracked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gabriela<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Measurements<\/u>: 1.67 m diameter by 1.35 m height in the vessel.<\/p>\n<p><u>Weight<\/u>: approximately, 2,697 kg.<\/p>\n<p><u>Name<\/u>: it gets its name from the Archangel Saint Gabriel, whose Incarnation message is engraved in Latin on the bell itself.<\/p>\n<p><u>Use<\/u>: it is currently cracked.
